Hello Fellow Rebels,
I’ve taken Connie Green’s (twitter @conniegreen) 30 day Power Blog Challenge. I need to post 30 posts on my blog by July 7th. Since my blog is fairly new this is a great way for me to spread the word of the Muse! Tonight I’ll start with my favorite topic of late: food.
On June 12th in NYC and LA, the movie/documentary Food Inc. comes out. I’m really excited to see it. Been doing lots of research on where the food on our plate comes from. This started a few years ago with Fast Food Nation, then some documentaries on Monsanto, followed by the Omnivore’s Dilemma. For the longest time I just took it for granted that the stuff landing on my plate was good for me and safe for me. Perhaps not.

I finally read the Omnivore’s Dilemma. The treatment of pigs on “pig farms” got to me. Talk about cruel and unusual punishment. Why do we allow this in our country? Let’s take a no cruelty treatment pledge for the animals that end up on our plates. Doesn’t feel like good eating karma to do otherwise …
Muse thx,
G.

The best thing you can do for yourself, to live a truly memorable life, is to take off your mask. Sometimes it seems like we’re attending this non-stop costume party, relating and reacting to phony versions of each other. Can’t think of anything more painful or pointless.
The worst time of my life was my twenties. I wore someone else’s mask over my face. I did what I thought a person wearing that kind of mask would do until I connected my unhappiness with the mask. It took a lot of prying but I finally ripped it off.
Revealing the real me felt scary at first but I stuck with it and now I wouldn’t have it any other way
How about you? Is your mask fully off?
